Overview

Hire Velocity is seeking a skilled Sales Associate to join our team in Horn Lake, MS. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for selling hard surface flooring and carpeting in a brick-and-mortar retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting the best flooring options for their projects
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure overall satisfaction
  • Assist with the upkeep of the flooring warehouse
  • May be required to unload trucks or load out customers, with training provided on forklift operation

Compensation:

Base pay starting at $15/hour, plus uncapped commission with an average earnings potential of $51,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Sales experience and comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • A passion for customer service and a desire to grow within our company
  • Customer-facing experience in sales, retail, or hospitality
  • A High School degree, GED, or equivalent
  • An interest in home improvement and influencing flooring design choices
  • Comfortable with technology and basic computer skills
  • Engaging communication skills and a conversation starter
  • The ability to occasionally lift heavy boxes
  • Willingness to learn and operate a forklift, with training provided

Work Schedule:

  • Retail stores are open 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with Sundays closed except for planned promotional dates
