Job Summary

As a Sales Representative at Apex Systems, you will play a crucial role in assisting brokers, potential members, and existing members in the sale of Individual Plans and products. Your expertise will be essential in providing expert understanding and ability in assisting brokers and members in making informed decisions about insurance plans and products.

Key Responsibilities

Train and assist brokers with the sale of Individual Plan and Small Employer products, including explaining plans, products, rates, and available options.
Assist and educate potential and existing members in choosing the most appropriate insurance plan, including making educated decisions on plan types and options, both on Marketplace and off.
Attend various sales events, speaking and interacting directly with brokers, customers, and members of other departments in a professional manner.
Handle a specific book of business and assist with other Representatives' books of business as needed, corresponding accurately and understandably to customers and brokers in a professional and confidential manner in accordance with HIPAA and internal compliance guidelines.
Stay updated on changes in legislation, health care reform, and how these changes affect the Individual and Small Employer Plan Market, assisting brokers and individual plan applicants with this information and how it affects individual plans.
Input data and update the sales automation system as necessary, ensuring information is accurate and timely.

Requirements

Strong understanding of Individual Plans and products, as well as Small Employer products and their corresponding regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with brokers, customers, and members of other departments.
Ability to stay up-to-date on changes in legislation and health care reform, and to communicate this information effectively to brokers and individual plan applicants.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to input data and update the sales automation system accurately and efficiently.
