Sales Representative Job Description

As a Sales Representative at Senske Services, you will be responsible for selling programs and services to current and prospective customers through traveling around assigned territory. Your primary goal is to identify customer needs and provide cost estimates and bids for services. You will also be responsible for securing sales and arranging service dates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to potential customer properties to identify needs and provide cost estimates and bids for services.
  • Secure sales and arrange service dates.
  • Maintain call records, account status, and customer feedback in CRM system.
  • Manage account records and programs in an organized manner.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from direct mailing/advertisement campaigns, community activities, and other resources.
  • Prepare and maintain proper sales reports.
  • Work to resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.

Requirements:
  • Three years of outside sales experience, preferably in lawn/horticulture/pest field.
  • Training or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including experience as a technician is acceptable.
  • Must pass lawn application licensing tests in the state in which the position is selling.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Data entry skills with a mobile device.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills, Consultative sales skills, and strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel locally on an extensive basis.
  • Ability to define customer problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
