Position Overview:

The role involves a proficient level of planning, scheduling, and reporting, with a focus on schedule monitoring, control measures, analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee project schedules and earned value baselines.
  • Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and develop associated schedules and budgets, including resource allocation.
  • Gather and compile schedule updates from construction management and contractors.
  • Maintain and update the project construction schedule baseline.
  • Generate detailed schedule reports, charts, and diagrams as required.
  • Analyze schedule progress and performance, identifying potential issues.
  • Maintain the master schedule logic and assess the impact of construction delays, critical paths, and other changes.
  • Provide data processing support for network schedule calculations and related services.
  • Engage in planning, scheduling, and reporting tasks with specific contractors and project areas.
  • Contribute to the development of periodic status reports to keep stakeholders informed on project progress.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of project computer systems and Primavera databases.
  • Receive assignments and instructions from senior project staff and may act as the primary scheduling representative for project tasks.
  • Compile schedule information for the Monthly Report based on input from the project team and contractors.

Qualifications:

Project Scheduler I:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling for engineering or construction projects.

Project Scheduler II:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling for engineering or construction projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Commitment to health and safety, adhering to the company's Zero Injury principles.
  • Experience with earned value software applications and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Primavera.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, and contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in job performance.
  • Capability to interpret various forms of instructions and data.
