Job Overview:
The Electronics Test Specialist II will be responsible for executing inspections and evaluations to identify issues in electronic assemblies. This role requires meticulous documentation and effective communication with team members and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing to diagnose defects in electronic assemblies based on provided guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all testing and inspection activities.
- Report any process or design challenges to the supervisor and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
- Perform manual testing of electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs) in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Engage in professional communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Revise testing documentation as necessary for prototype items.
- Offer guidance and training to junior technicians as needed.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, military certification, or equivalent experience.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and suppliers.
- Proficient in using personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques to ascertain root causes of issues.
- Knowledge of testing instruments, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to interpret basic engineering documents, including schematics and diagrams.
- Capability to understand product and process component datasheets.
- Skills in assembling and disassembling electronic products.
- Experience in maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
- Preferred: Three or more years of related experience.
