Automation Systems Specialist II

Position Overview

The Automation Systems Specialist II is responsible for investigating, defining, and facilitating the advancement of software and application frameworks utilized in automated manufacturing environments.



Key Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and document automation system frameworks
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure that software, systems, and applications fulfill specified requirements
  • Complete project tasks within established timelines
  • Effectively support projects through to completion, either autonomously or as part of a team
  • Employ suitable development tools and version control systems for documentation of system design
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to assist with internal applications
  • Utilize strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of industry best practices to support the systems team
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for software, systems, and application architectures


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Familiarity with manufacturing system technologies such as SCADA, MES, OEE, and databases is preferred
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Java, C#, Python, and T-SQL is preferred
  • Commitment to staying updated on advancements in the development field through ongoing educational opportunities
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
