About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at Ulteig. As a key member of our Construction Monitoring team, you will be responsible for observing, monitoring, and documenting construction activities on transportation and water projects in North Dakota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction Monitoring: Observe and document construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with construction and contracting crews, project management teams, and owner's representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Quality Control: Ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance programs, identifying and resolving non-conformance issues.
  • Documentation: Update 'as-built' drawings and maintain accurate records of project progress and status.
  • Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and engineers, to resolve construction-related issues.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4-8 years of related construction inspection experience, preferably with DOT and/or Municipalities.
  • Education: Two-year technical degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Traffic Control Supervisor, Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor, Flagger, ACI, or related certifications for Asphalt and/or Concrete.
  • Skills: Strong math skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
