Job Title: Sous Chef

At The Omni Homestead, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of the associate cafeteria, kitchen, and food production.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygienic practice throughout the kitchen.
  • Manage a team of culinary, servers, and stewarding staff to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
  • Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of restaurant operations.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food production plans to meet the needs of our guests.
Requirements:
  • AAS in Culinary Arts or equivalent from an accredited University or Institute.
  • Previous culinary experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational, management, culinary, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Food & Beverage/Hospitality industry control procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
  • Servesafe Sanitation or equivalent certification.
