Sales and Operations Intern

The primary focus of the Retail Sales and Management Trainee role is to embody our mission of delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Interns will engage in various sales, merchandising, and operational responsibilities as directed by store leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Sales and Customer Engagement**
- Welcome customers with a warm and inviting demeanor, ensuring top-notch service.
- Address inquiries regarding products and store offerings.
- Suggest and assist in locating merchandise tailored to customer preferences.
- Proactively identify customer needs and enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain awareness of ongoing promotions and store policies.
2. **Team Collaboration and Development**
- Work alongside the Store Manager to gain insights into retail operations and management excellence.
- Participate in team training sessions and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Assist in recruiting efforts by identifying potential candidates.
3. **Operational Excellence**
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Manage cash register operations, including transactions and cash handling.
- Adhere to loss prevention protocols and maintain store security.
- Ensure the sales floor is well-organized and visually appealing.
Internship Development
Interns will complete orientation and training modules, providing updates to management on progress. This role offers the opportunity to manage a specific product category, set sales objectives, and track performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Commitment to long-term growth within the company.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
