Territory Manager Job Description

The Territory Manager is a key role at VESTIS, responsible for leading a team of Route Sales Representatives in a designated service territory. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of Route Sales Representatives to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and customer retention in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to review growth and service opportunities.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer service requests and complaints.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of customer service programs in the territory.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales and service initiatives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Two years of service and route-based industry experience, with proven track record for growing customer accounts.
  • Previous profit and loss accountability and/or contract-managed service experience preferred.
  • Significant customer interface and service experience.
  • Production planning, maintenance, or warehouse operations experience preferred.
Working Environment:

The Territory Manager will spend the majority of their time driving a company vehicle or company step-van to call on customers and supervise employees in the assigned service territory. The role requires frequent travel, including overnight stays, and exposure to various weather conditions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be comfortable with frequent travel and be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds, as well as load/unload product from a truck without assistance.
