About the Role

As a Business Development Executive, Facilities at Staples, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and revenue expansion in the Jan/San products segment. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your sales expertise and industry knowledge to develop and execute strategies that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Collaborate with Sales Managers to create and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market share expansion in the Jan/San products segment.
  • Train and Coach Sales Representatives: Provide training and coaching to general line sales representatives on Jan/San products, processes, and best practices to enhance their ability to sell and close deals.
  • Conduct Joint Sales Calls: Partner with sales representatives to conduct joint sales calls with customers to assist in closing sales and driving revenue growth.
  • Participate in Account Reviews: Participate in current account business reviews to introduce Jan/San products and services, increase revenue, and add value to the account.
  • Provide Expertise and Input: Contribute expertise and input to the corporate-wide Jan/San products program regarding product selection, training, and issue resolution.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Achieve jan/san break room safety revenue and gross margin targets in defined markets.
  • Drive Retention and Penetration: Achieve retention and penetration of jan/san break room safety targets in existing OP accounts and new Facility accounts.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED: Required
  • 4+ Years of Outside Sales Experience: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
  • Thorough Knowledge of Jan/San Products and Services: Preferred
  • Training and/or Demonstration Experience: Preferred
