Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in the energy sector? Wood, a renowned global engineering and construction organization, is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a significant offshore brownfield asset retirement initiative.
As the Project Manager, you will play an essential role in directing all facets of the offshore brownfield asset retirement project. Your responsibilities will encompass project planning, execution, monitoring, and control, ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
In this capacity, you will effectively manage workflows to remote offices while overseeing engineering deliverables, including construction work packs, engineering studies, regulatory and environmental assessments, and asset management strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulate and implement detailed project plans that address scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Lead a diverse project team, providing direction, support, and mentorship throughout all phases of the project.
- Establish effective communication channels and reporting systems to keep stakeholders updated on project developments, challenges, and milestones.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory bodies, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
- Oversee project finances, monitor expenditures, forecast costs, and enforce cost control measures as necessary.
- Track project timelines and resource allocation, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays or conflicts.
- Conduct regular site evaluations and inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations to foster collaboration, address conflicts, and promote informed decision-making.
- Manage change requests and deviations from the project scope, assessing impacts on timelines, budgets, and quality.
- Prepare and present progress reports, documentation, and presentations to clients, management, and stakeholders.
- Encourage a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement among all project team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused on offshore engineering projects.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore decommissioning processes, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects from initiation to completion, consistently meeting or exceeding objectives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Willingness to travel offshore and operate in challenging environmental conditions as required.
