About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer II to join our team at Raytheon Advanced Airborne RF Systems Engineering department in Goleta, California. As a key member of our Integrated Product Team, you will be responsible for ensuring program objectives are achieved by interfacing with stakeholders and providing technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine product or system requirements based on customer information and provide traceability to these requirements.
  • Capture requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, concise, understandable, and verifiable.
  • Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure all areas have complete information.
  • Assess requirement changes for impact to the overall system and subsystems and track implemented changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs.
  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
  • Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
  • Experience leading STE development (and prime hardware) test activities.
  • Experience with security requirements related to government testing.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
