Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the overall maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs as needed
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and machines to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks, including replacing filters and checking electrical systems
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
  • Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
  • Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers (e.g., Engineer I)
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
