Job Summary

Raytheon Careers is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer II to join our Advanced Airborne RF (AARF) Systems Engineering department in Goleta, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for determining product or system requirements, capturing and documenting these requirements, and ensuring their clarity and conciseness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine product or system requirements based on customer information and provide traceability to these requirements.
  • Decide how to capture requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, concise, understandable, and verifiable.
  • Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure all areas have complete information.
  • Assess requirement changes for impact to the overall system and subsystems and track and control implemented changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
  • Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
  • Experience leading STE development (and prime hardware) test activities.
  • Experience with security requirements related to government testing.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
