About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer II to join our team at RTX. As a Systems Engineer II, you will be responsible for determining the requirements for products or systems based on information from customers and providing traceability to these requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the requirements for products or systems based on information from customers and provide traceability to these requirements.
  • Capture requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, concise, understandable, and verifiable.
  • Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure all areas have the complete information appropriate to their activity.
  • Ensure all requirement changes are assessed for impact to the overall system and subsystems and that implemented changes are tracked and controlled.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior systems engineering experience. Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs is required. Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules. Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers. Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps). Experience leading STE development (and prime hardware) test activities. Experience with security requirements related to government testing. Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
