Job Title: Systems Engineer II

Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer II to join our Advanced Airborne RF (AARF) Systems Engineering department in Goleta, California. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Electronic Warfare Systems product line.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Systems Engineer II to interface with our Integrated Product Team Lead, Chief Engineer, and other stakeholders to ensure program objectives are achieved. The selected candidate will be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where they can stand out and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the requirements for a product or system based on information from the customer and provide traceability to these requirements.
  • Decide how to capture those requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
  • Ensure the requirements are clear, concise, understandable, and verifiable.
  • Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure that all areas have the complete information appropriate to their activity.
  • Ensure all requirement changes are assessed for impact to the overall system and subsystems and that implemented changes are tracked and controlled.
  • Selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain special access program (SAP) clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
  • Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
  • Experience leading STE development (and prime hardware) test activities.
  • Experience with security requirements related to government testing.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
