Job Title: Systems Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer II to join our team at Raytheon Advanced Airborne RF (AARF) Systems Engineering department in Goleta, California. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our Electronic Warfare Systems product line.

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will be responsible for determining the requirements for a product or system based on information from the customer and providing traceability to these requirements. You will also decide how to capture those requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents. Additionally, you will ensure that the requirements are clear, concise, understandable, and verifiable.

  • Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure that all areas have the complete information appropriate to their activity.
  • Ensure all requirement changes are assessed for impact to the overall system and subsystems and that implemented changes are tracked and controlled.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
  • Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
  • Experience leading STE development (and prime hardware) test activities.
  • Experience with security requirements related to government testing.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
