About the Role

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist II to join our commercial risk team in St. Louis. As an Account Specialist II, you will play a key role in managing key processes that serve clients, undertaking client-facing and internal activities, and assisting Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain effective and positive relationships with clients, serving independently in a client-facing capacity on matters of moderate importance and complexity.
  • Submission Assembly and Creation: Perform submission assembly/creation where assigned, facilitating the timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members.
  • Client Open Items and Requests: Handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyze data, drafting assigned elements of stewardship reports and other convincing presentations tailored to the needs of the audience and the circumstances of the presentation.
  • Renewal Process Support: Actively support and monitor the renewal process, drafting quote comparisons and following up for binders, policies, and endorsements.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with Aon Client Services (ACS), coordinating activities of the client service team and ACS to ensure that key processes assigned are performed efficiently and quality of client deliverables.
  • Premium Accounting Collaboration: Primary collaborator with Premium Accounting on client billing matters.
  • Coverage Inquiries and Endorsements: Receive and handle routine and sophisticated coverage inquiries and endorsement requests.
  • Client Liaison for Certificates and Invoices: Serve as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, Workers Compensation posting notices, allocations, premium finance agreements, summaries of insurance, and policy transmittals.
  • Invoice Generation and Collections: Monitor and follow-up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections, addressing and resolving problems.
  • Guidance and Mentoring: May provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist, delegating work to support staff and ACS where applicable.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of previous commercial insurance and healthcare experience preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Property & Casualty brokers license preferred, or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
