Position Overview

As a key member of our finance team, you will engage in the meticulous management of financial records while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of our community. Your role will involve addressing daily financial and administrative challenges within the Accounting Department, ensuring adherence to all relevant Real Estate Commission regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain comprehensive financial reporting, accounting systems, and the accounting closing process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and GL account analyses.
  • Address and resolve daily financial and administrative issues pertaining to the Accounting Department.
  • Ensure compliance of the Accounting Department with all Real Estate Commission standards.
  • Lead the accounting team and collections staff, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Supervise the documentation produced by the accounting department, including forms and informational materials.
  • Manage the secure storage and appropriate disposal of property management records in line with Real Estate Commission guidelines.
  • Maintain essential property insurance documentation, business licenses, and other regulatory permits.
  • Act as the administrator for central office technology, including software updates and data backup procedures.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors to address software and hardware issues.
  • Ensure the accounting software is updated with the latest vendor releases.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Corporate Office, including the approval of office supplies and maintenance materials.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive accounting experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Preferred: Real Estate Broker's license.
  • Proficient in Yardi software.
  • Skilled in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with Entrata is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Expert knowledge of Landlord, Tenant, and Fair Housing laws at the city, county, state, and federal levels.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with Hybrid Opportunities
Compensation: $56,000 - $66,500 Annually
