Position Summary
As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for addressing daily financial and administrative challenges within the Accounting Department, ensuring adherence to all Real Estate Commission regulations. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in financial analysis while enjoying the vibrant culture of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage financial reporting, accounting systems, closing processes, journal entries, reconciliations, GL account analysis, variance assessments, audits, budgeting, cash management, and banking relationships.
  • Address daily financial and administrative issues within the Accounting Department.
  • Ensure compliance with all Real Estate Commission regulations.
  • Lead the accounting team and collections staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Supervise the documentation produced by the accounting department, including forms and informational materials.
  • Manage the storage and disposal of property management records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain files related to property insurance, business licenses, and other necessary permits.
  • Administer central office technology, including equipment, software updates, and data backup procedures.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors to resolve software and hardware issues.
  • Ensure the accounting software is updated with the latest vendor releases.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Corporate Office, including approval of office supplies and maintenance items.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive accounting experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Real Estate Broker's license is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Yardi software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Entrata is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Expertise in Landlord, Tenant, and Fair Housing laws at all governmental levels.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with Hybrid Opportunities
Compensation: $56,000 - $66,500 Annually
