Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Coordinator, you will enhance your Human Resources skills while managing various aspects of the employee lifecycle:
- Recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes
- Validation of hours and payroll
- Processing of performance reviews, including 90-day and annual evaluations
- Monitoring licenses, training, and compliance requirements
- Facilitating employee separation procedures
- Planning and executing employee engagement initiatives
- Managing unemployment and workers' compensation reporting
- Coordinating leave requests
- Providing general HR and administrative support to the leadership team
This position emphasizes HR transactions and coordination of diverse HR functions. The HR Coordinator will also play a crucial role in organizing employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and training sessions. As you gain experience, your responsibilities may expand. Although you may be the sole HR representative at your location, you will have the backing of a seasoned HR team across our healthcare system, fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources is preferred; however, 4 years of relevant experience or PHR/SHRM certification may substitute for formal education.
- At least 1 year of HR experience is preferred.
- Essential HR competencies include:
- Knowledge of employment laws such as FLSA, FMLA, NLRA, ADA, etc., with the ability to research and consult with team members on complex issues.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
