Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Specialist to join our Corporate Benefits Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the administration of our health and welfare benefits for over 60,000 employees across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with U.S. and Canadian benefit vendors to ensure seamless delivery of benefits to employees.
  • Analyze key metrics and trends to develop strategies to optimize plan performance and utilization, driving business growth and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with communications specialists to promote benefit plans and employee wellness initiatives, enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact for assigned benefit plans, providing guidance and support to HR partners on administrative and policy questions.
  • Research, analyze, and respond to administrative appeals, ensuring fair and timely resolution of employee concerns.
  • Facilitate and review requests for proposals (RFPs); review and negotiate contracts and renewals with benefit vendors, monitoring vendor performance to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Assist in the development and annual review of benefit materials, including summary plan descriptions, enrollment guides, new hire communications, and process documents.
  • Monitor state and federal regulations and guidance relevant to plan compliance, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, human resources, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing health and welfare benefits for corporations with 1,000+ employees.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is preferred.
