Position Overview:

The Patient Registration Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition for new patients into Option Care Health services. This position is focused on delivering a consistent onboarding experience that reassures both patients and referral partners of our commitment to facilitating their care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with patients, referral sources, sales teams, pharmacy, and nursing staff to coordinate discharge processes and secure necessary nursing and delivery services.
  • Collects, communicates, and verifies all essential documentation for new patient referrals.
  • Facilitates upfront payment arrangements for patients, assisting them in identifying financial assistance options when necessary.
  • Supports ongoing activities to ensure the accuracy of claims and manage any denials, including follow-up on missing paperwork.
  • Assists the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with various special projects as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Education and Experience Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.

Essential Qualifications:

Proficient in multitasking and managing multiple referrals and priorities simultaneously.

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.

Exceptional customer service skills are essential.

Capable of troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams across sales and operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in healthcare or medical billing is advantageous.

Compensation:

The salary for this position will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment. The pay range is $17.52-$29.20.
