Overnight Care Assistant

This position is for a dedicated caregiver at Sherwood Pines Memory Care, a specialized facility focused on memory care. Our establishment is known for its warm and welcoming environment, providing exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully complete a background screening and undergo essential training in dementia care, infection control, and caregiving.
- Demonstrate respect, dignity, and compassion towards all residents.
- Assist and deliver care according to each resident's personalized service plan.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Monitor residents for any changes in their health status and communicate significant observations.
- Act promptly in emergencies, adhering to established protocols.
- Document incidents as per facility guidelines during your shift.
- Record vital signs accurately in residents' medical records.
- Respond quickly to resident requests.
- Maintain cleanliness in residents' rooms and shared spaces within the facility.
- Change bed linens and manage waste disposal.
- Handle laundry duties and ensure timely delivery back to residents' rooms.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers in accordance with care plans and safety practices.
- Document all care provided in the residents' records.
- Engage with shift reports and care notes to maintain continuity in care.
- Administer medications following proper training and authorization from management.
- Report any signs of resident mistreatment or misappropriation to management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the facility's dress code.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by nursing staff, either verbally or in writing.
