We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Sherwood Pines Memory Care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities- Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting their dignity and independence.
- Support Daily Living: Help residents with mealtime, including feeding, and ensure their nutritional needs are met.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely transfer and escort residents, following care plans and safe practices, to ensure their mobility and comfort.
- Monitor and Report Changes: Observe residents for changes in condition and report any significant changes to the nurse or administrator.
- Administer Medications: Administer medications after medication class and approval from the Administrator, ensuring residents receive their prescribed medications.
- Document Care: Accurately document care provided, including vital signs, to ensure continuity of care and meet regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Team Efforts: Collaborate with the care team to ensure residents receive comprehensive care, and participate in care planning and decision-making.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the physical environment is safe and clean, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Pass a Background Check: Must pass a background check and complete preservice dementia, preservice infection prevention, and caregiver training.
- Compassionate and Respectful: Treat all community members with respect, dignity, and compassion.
- Ability to Work as a Team: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues and residents to ensure seamless care delivery.
