Chief Development Officer

New York Common Pantry seeks a seasoned and strategic Chief Development Officer to lead the growth of its fundraising program. The ideal candidate will design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to expand and diversify philanthropic income sources, with a focus on building a robust major and annual giving program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to achieve the organization's growth goals
  • Build and manage a portfolio of major gifts prospects, including research, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
  • Partner with the Executive Director, Campaign Committee, and Board of Directors to successfully complete the $25 million comprehensive campaign
  • Lead a development team of two direct reports with oversight of an additional nine development professionals
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Executive Director and Managing Director of Programs to oversee the government grants process
