About the Position

The Maricopa County Attorney's Office is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Specialist to provide specialized support to attorneys, paralegals, and legal support specialists within the Division. As an Administrative Specialist, you will be responsible for providing clerical and technical support in processing public records requests, identifying, reviewing, and redacting digital records, and conducting thorough reviews of redacted records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide specialized clerical and technical support in processing public records requests
* Identify, review, and redact digital records, including body-worn camera evidence and criminal interviews
* Conduct thorough reviews of redacted records to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Take direction from paralegals and attorneys regarding redacting records
* Prepare and process specialized paperwork as directed, sometimes requiring confidentiality
* Utilize computer to look up and retrieve case information from various databases
* Prepare documents and digital files for disclosure to the public
* Assist with special projects, including photocopying, binding, and ordering supplies
* Utilize calendaring programs and organize electronic files
* Utilize various redaction software and related tools to efficiently complete assigned tasks

Working Conditions

The Administrative Specialist will work in an office setting, which may require extended periods of sitting to perform tasks. The position may also require the use of a personal or county-owned vehicle to travel to and from various county locations. The ability to move up to 20 pounds floor to waist and push/pull up to 20 pounds at a distance of up to 100 feet is also required. The position may be eligible to telework after 6 months.

Requirements

* Two years of specialized clerical experience or technical experience related to processing audio and visual data
* High school diploma or GED
* Post-secondary education may substitute for six months of the experience requirement
* Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
