About the Job: We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Intervention Technician to join our team at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. As a key member of our support services, you will play a critical role in helping students manage challenging behaviors and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to develop personalized behavioral intervention plans
  • Implement CPI strategies to de-escalate crises and promote positive interactions between students and staff
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure consistency across home and school environments
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in student behavior, informing data-driven decisions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and community partners to enhance student outcomes

Requirements: A High School Diploma with specialized training in mental health and/or social work is required. Three years of experience working with students with challenging behaviors is highly desirable. A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work is also preferred. Five years of experience in an educational setting would be advantageous.

Salary and Benefits: This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.09-$35.00, commensurate with experience. With a 10-month contract, you can enjoy a stable income while making a meaningful difference in the lives of students and their families.
