This position involves working closely with school staff to develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to each student's specific needs. You'll use Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) strategies to de-escalate crisis situations and provide emotional support to students. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping students overcome obstacles and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school staff to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop BIPs.">
  • Implement CPI strategies to manage crisis situations and promote a safe learning environment.">
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students experiencing challenging behaviors.">
  • Monitor and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of BIPs and CPI strategies.">

Requirements and Qualifications

">

To succeed in this role, you'll need a High School Diploma or equivalent with specialized classes or training in mental health and/or social work. Three years of experience dealing with student behavior is highly desirable, as is a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or five years of experience in an educational setting.

Compensation Package

The hourly salary for this position ranges from $20.09, reflecting the competitive Teacher Scale N rate. As a 10-month employee, you'll enjoy a fulfilling work-life balance while contributing to the success of CMS students.
