About the Job

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with special needs? Do you have experience working in a 1:1 behavioral setting? We are seeking a skilled Behavior Technician to join our team at Amergis. This is a part-time position, approximately 40 hours per week, with competitive pay and benefits.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with students who require intensive support to achieve their educational and behavioral goals. As a Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for implementing behavior management techniques, providing crisis intervention, and documenting session data. You will also assist in facilitating academic instruction and supporting students in developing independent living skills.

Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management techniques in accordance with individualized behavior plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
  • Document session data accurately and efficiently
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction and supporting students in developing independent living skills
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve student outcomes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Experience working in a 1:1 behavioral setting (ABA, behavioral/psych, school, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively with students with severe/extreme behaviors
