Position Summary:
The Healthcare Relationship Manager acts as a liaison for the physicians and services offered at the Practice. This role is essential in facilitating communication between referring healthcare providers and specialized physicians. During these outreach visits, the manager engages with referring doctors to discuss patient management, referrals, and innovative treatment options.
Responsibilities:
Establishes and nurtures relationships with referring physicians to enhance patient referrals. Consistently works to ensure robust relationships and seamless referral processes.
Initiates strategies to boost patient volume and improve provider perceptions among both internal and external referral sources.
Enhances service visibility by strategically visiting selected referral networks.
Identifies methods to encourage provider interaction and engagement.
Monitors efforts to ensure the Practice maintains a competitive edge, including regular assessments of competitors' strengths and services.
Develops and executes a continuous profiling and monitoring system for market areas to recognize demographic shifts, competitor actions, and changes in healthcare services.
Utilizes patient feedback scores from practices and hospital services to pinpoint areas for improvement that may negatively affect referrals.
Evaluates liaison activities by producing and disseminating regular summaries of patient visits, their outcomes, and their influence on referral trends.
Continuously networks and provides practice/physician informational materials to referring physicians, hospitals, and practices.
Organizes and schedules essential physician meetings.
Delivers weekly reports summarizing the previous week's visits, including key outcomes and follow-up strategies.
Submits weekly plans for the upcoming week, detailing visits, strategies, administrative tasks, and educational sessions.
Assists in coordinating all educational meetings for referring physicians and internal staff.
Exhibits discretion and independent judgment in addressing the needs of referring physicians and resolving issues to maintain strong referral relationships.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
3+ years of experience in healthcare sales is strongly preferred.
Highly driven and target-oriented with a proven sales track record.
Experience in data analysis, statistics, and product lines.
General medical knowledge, particularly regarding the services, treatment options, and equipment offered by our facility is preferred.
Demonstrates persuasive communication skills, leadership, and the ability to build relationships and rapport.
Willingness to travel as required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and organizational abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient service-oriented environment.
Demonstrates a commitment to quality improvement through the development and maintenance of standards.
Intermediate computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels, both internal and external.
