Position Summary: We are in search of a Senior Director or Vice President of Leasing to play a pivotal role in shaping the leasing strategy for this landmark development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive leasing process from initial interest to lease execution.
  • Negotiate lease agreements, renewals, and expansions with a focus on favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure accurate lease documentation.
  • Coordinate regular leasing meetings with internal teams and external brokers to track progress and share updates.
  • Engage in space planning discussions with potential tenants to optimize leasing opportunities.
  • Analyze regional market trends to identify and target prospective tenants effectively.
  • Implement marketing strategies in conjunction with asset management to enhance property appeal.
  • Maintain strong visibility within the local brokerage community to maximize property exposure.
  • Monitor competitive properties to inform pricing strategies and improve occupancy rates.
  • Assist in expediting tenant improvement processes in collaboration with development teams.
  • Participate in acquisition due diligence, providing insights on market data and leasing velocity.
  • Understand financial models and lender requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare budgets for expected rental rates and leasing expenses.
  • Maintain updated stacking plans for property management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage with local organizations to enhance community relations.
  • Provide regular reports on leasing performance metrics as required.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Manage and mentor leasing staff, setting clear performance expectations.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party brokers to ensure effective collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in retail leasing with a proven track record.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail market dynamics and tenant mix strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for relationship management.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with web-based marketing tools and document management systems.

Performance Metrics:

  • Achieve established leasing targets and budgetary criteria.
