Position Summary:
The Geotechnical Engineering Associate will oversee routine to moderately complex projects, ensuring that all technical expertise is applied to meet and exceed client expectations. This role involves the preparation of fundamental reports that provide professional insights and recommendations based on established engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Work autonomously on specific tasks of limited scope while collaborating with engineers on larger projects.
2. Manage geotechnical and material testing initiatives.
3. Foster client communications and cultivate strong client relationships.
4. Develop solutions, offer recommendations, and prepare engineering documentation for review.
5. Monitor construction activities and report findings to the project engineer.
6. Conduct various field and laboratory assessments.
7. Gain relevant experience to pursue a Professional Engineer license.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory violation history.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Preferred Experience:
- Previous professional consulting experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in field-testing and report writing is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnical or materials is necessary; a Master's degree is preferred.
- EIT certification is required.
- Experience with construction materials is a plus.
