Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Your Impact at RCG Moody International:
  • Conducts a range of assignments that involve independent assessments utilizing established techniques, procedures, and criteria, applying judgment to make minor adjustments and modifications
  • Drafts and evaluates engineering reports, project plans, and specifications prepared by colleagues
  • Delegates tasks to team members
  • Creates scopes, budgets, and timelines for projects
  • Develops proposals for professional services
  • Reviews recommendations with senior consultants
  • Maintains and nurtures client relationships while identifying new project opportunities
  • Participates in client site meetings
  • Communicates effectively with clients and project teams
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously
  • Mentors technicians and other technical personnel
  • May conduct on-site observations, sample collection, and specific testing
  • Occasionally works in both field and laboratory settings
  • Adheres to safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety
Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is mandatory
  • Preferred coursework in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is essential
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering is preferred
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and excellent interpersonal abilities are required
  • Capability to interpret and understand work plans is necessary
  • Willingness to work off hours and overtime as required
  • Potential travel of up to 15% may be necessary
  • Valid Driver's License and a dependable driving record are required
