Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate student-led programs and events within the University Student Center, collaborating with student organizations, advisors, and conference representatives.
  • Manage the logistics of student, departmental, and external events, including pre-event planning, on-site execution, and post-event evaluations.
  • Assist in the scheduling and reservation of activity spaces, ensuring successful programming through meticulous logistical planning, including room setups and attendee experiences.
  • Maintain program calendars, oversee registration processes, track attendance, and handle post-event activities such as surveys and financial reconciliations.
  • Guide student groups in the planning, budgeting, and marketing of their initiatives, providing support for organizational development.
  • Establish effective communication channels with the campus community to facilitate program coordination.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of university policies and regulations related to public events, safety, and contract management, advising others accordingly.
  • Support student organizations in arranging promotional activities, special requirements for events, and other logistical needs.
  • Engage regularly with student leaders to foster responsible decision-making, assess interests, and address programming challenges.
  • Oversee special projects for student organizations, including managing the master calendar and coordinating with external vendors.
  • Act as a liaison between campus and external organizations to develop and implement programs within the University Student Center.
  • Research available programs and provide recommendations to student groups based on their interests and needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures of the student center, reporting any violations and administering appropriate actions as necessary.
  • Participate in the assessment of student programs and policies, recommending improvements and developing new policies as needed.
  • Provide on-site supervision for student activities, offering support and resolving any issues that arise.
  • May supervise assistants or students, including those in practicum roles.
  • Contribute to university committees as needed.
  • Develop training and development programs for staff as requested.

Additional Information:

Other duties may be assigned as necessary. The absence of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning related responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Compensation:

The hiring range for this position is between $45,000 and $63,191.56.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and occasional evenings and weekends as needed based on events.

On-Site Requirement:

This position requires on-campus presence.
