Position Overview

Role Summary
The International Student Engagement Ambassador plays a vital role in fostering connections between the International Recruitment Team and prospective international students. This position is designed to create an inviting atmosphere for potential students, their families, alumni, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
As an ambassador, you will:
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding the undergraduate admission process, academic offerings, campus life, and the international application procedures.
  • Assist in processing admission application materials and contribute to various special projects as needed.
  • Represent the department at events and functions, offering tours and presentations to showcase the department's offerings.
  • Provide peer-to-peer guidance and support to prospective students, helping them navigate their application journey.

Professional Development
This role aims to enhance essential skills such as Critical Thinking, Communication, Teamwork, Professionalism, and Technology Utilization.

Qualifications
Required:
This is an entry-level position, requiring minimal prior experience. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Preferred:
Demonstrated interest in international education and student support services.

Work Schedule
Flexible hours are available, including standard business hours, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation
The hourly wage for this position is $17.50.

The role is situated within the Enrollment & Student Success division, specifically in the Admissions Office, which is dedicated to supporting students throughout their academic journey.
