About the Role
The Territory Sales Manager is a key position within Summit Materials, responsible for developing and sustaining a business strategy to gain or protect market share for accounts in the territory. This role requires a proactive, organized, and results-oriented individual with a high level of energy and drive.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a business strategy to increase market share and protect existing accounts
- Provide basic technical assistance and support to customers
- Lead marketing and sales efforts within the sales territory
- Monitor the quality and performance of competitive products in the territory
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Manage working capital goals and meet DSO and SG&A objectives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of sales experience in building materials supply or associated industries
- Proven track record of success in sales and territory management
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend business unit and district meetings
