Job Overview

Obsidian Solutions Group LLC (OSG) is in search of a dedicated Policy and Program Analyst to enhance the operations of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), the premier security and law enforcement division of the U.S. Department of State. DS excels in international investigations, threat assessment, cybersecurity, counterterrorism, and safeguarding assets and information. The primary goal is to ensure a secure environment for U.S. foreign policy execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to prepare, coordinate, and monitor responses to inquiries from Foreign Service posts regarding technical security exceptions and guidance on countermeasures-related policies.
  • Lead research initiatives to assess the influence of technology on existing security protocols, assisting in the revision of technical security policies and recommending necessary countermeasures to adapt to evolving technologies.
  • Engage in working groups to formulate mitigation strategies and standard operating procedures, advising senior agency security managers on the implications of technological advancements on the protection of personnel, facilities, and sensitive information.
  • Propose innovative methods to enhance the effectiveness of countermeasure programs through the integration of advanced security technologies.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a current U.S. Government final TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate Intelligence Community standards, Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB) technical and physical security standards, and agency regulations.
  • Capability to interact effectively with external groups and individuals.
  • Participation in interagency working groups is essential.
  • Strong written, electronic, and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in technical and report writing.
  • Proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to function as part of a team; self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Work Environment

  • Standard work schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Typical office setting
  • Travel may be required
