Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Overseeing and executing structural tasks on both conventional and intricate multi-disciplinary projects from the design phase through to construction.
  • Conducting and managing structural load evaluations on both standard and complex bridges utilizing hand calculations as well as advanced finite element methods.
  • Demonstrating strong technical proficiency to lead, execute, and verify bridge and structural designs, ensuring compliance with design codes and client specifications.
  • Facilitating effective coordination and communication with various disciplines.
  • Establishing and adhering to the scope, timeline, and budget for structural tasks.
  • Contributing to bridge and structural proposal development through proficient technical writing.
  • Innovating and developing cost-effective modifications to traditional designs through construction and value engineering opportunities.
  • Leading bridge inspections.
  • Creating and delivering training courses and reference materials on bridge design.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in bridge design, analysis, and development of training materials.
  • Possession of a Pennsylvania P.E. license or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
  • Proficiency in finite element software and other bridge design applications.
  • Experience with Bentley 2D and 3D software is required.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Certification in Bridge Safety Inspection (CBSI) is preferred.
  • Nonredundant Steel Tension Member (NSTM) Inspection certification is preferred.
  • This position does not provide sponsorship.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this role is $82,326 - $118,858, contingent upon the experience and expertise of the selected candidate.
