Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing assessment and water treatment/remediation design projects, as well as permitting and/or environmental compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead complex environmental projects, including assessment and investigation, conceptual remediation, and water treatment design plans.
- Develop and execute business development strategies, including market/client intelligence, client relationship management, and revenue generation.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and professionals from various backgrounds to deliver high-quality results.
- Prepare regulatory submittals and present complex technical information to diverse audiences, including trade associations.

Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required; Master's or PhD a plus.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing assessment and water treatment/remediation design projects, as well as permitting and/or environmental compliance activities.
- Experience with solving issues associated with the mining (AMD treatment) and power industries (CCR disposal and leachate treatment challenges).
- Strong working knowledge of state/federal environmental laws and regulations as they relate to environmental compliance and remediation systems.
- Experience working with regulatory agency personnel in the tristate area (PA, OH, WV) a plus.
