About the Role:

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing assessment and water treatment/remediation design projects, as well as permitting and/or environmental compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead complex environmental projects, including assessment and investigation, conceptual remediation, and water treatment design plans.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies, including market/client intelligence, client relationship management, and revenue generation.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required; Master's or PhD a plus.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing assessment and water treatment/remediation design projects, as well as permitting and/or environmental compliance activities.
  • Experience with solving issues associated with the mining (AMD treatment) and power industries (CCR disposal and leachate treatment challenges).
  • Strong working knowledge of state/federal environmental laws and regulations as they relate to environmental compliance and remediation systems.
  • Experience working with regulatory agency personnel in the tristate area (PA, OH, WV) a plus.
