Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Development Executive to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with U.S. Federal agencies, including the Department of Defense, Department of State, and members of the U.S. Intelligence Community.
Your primary objective will be to understand the needs of these agencies and position Logically as a trusted partner in addressing issues related to information warfare, influence operations, and adversarial cognitive campaigns. You will work closely with our data scientists and subject matter experts to configure, understand, and use our software to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product teams to define client projects and needs.
- Help clients understand, configure, and use Logically Intelligence, our proprietary open-source intelligence platform.
- Generate business opportunities for Logically through targeted outreach and relationship-building.
- Conduct business development meetings with prospective clients and channel partners.
- Engage with clients to understand their missions and requirements, and position Logically to execute projects and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal product, engineering, and data science teams to translate customer requirements into actionable insights and inform product development.
- Assist with project planning, writing, and execution, including developing statements of work, project plans, and bids.
- 10 years of relevant experience in government, prime government contractors, consulting firms, and/or NGO organizations related to national security, defense, information warfare, influence operations, foreign affairs, international development, and other relevant fields.
- Considerable experience in a Senior Sales/Business Development position.
- Experience in creating and delivering sales strategies.
- Proficiency in government procurement and contracting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically in policy and/or intelligence style writing and briefings.
- Strong initiative and ability to act independently.
- Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills.
- Experience with technology.
- Ability to travel approximately 1-3 times per month.
- Proficiency in bid writing.
- Knowledge of and experience in national security and defense, and/or international development.
- Experience working with and/or for professional services, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and/or start-up organizations.
- Active U.S. government security clearance.
- Proficiency in language(s) other than English.
- B.A. in International Relations, National Security, Foreign Affairs, Regional Studies, Political Science, and/or related disciplines.
