Business Development Executive, MSE

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our MSE team. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a critical role in expanding Gartner's presence across the global market. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate trust-based relationships with C-level executives to understand their mission-critical priorities and uncover opportunities to deliver client-value through the lens of the industry in which they operate.
Key responsibilities include:
Seeking out and driving new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations across your territory, from initial client outreach to close, targeting MSE C-level stakeholders.
Converting viable prospects into active Gartner clients, owning the full sales conversation and negotiation, through to the transition of new clients to the account management team.
Aligning the right combination of insight, guidance, and practical tools to bring value to the partnership.
Continually building a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to deliver against your sales metrics, ensuring KPIs are met.
Quota responsibility for your assigned territory.
Managing complex high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments.
Owning forecasting and account planning on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
What you will need:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1+ years' B2B sales experience, preferably within complex, intangible sales environments.
Some business development or 'hunting' experience in a selling role highly desired.
Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
A proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets.
A proven ability to precisely manage and forecast a complex sale process.
A willingness to live within a commutable distance to one of our COEs (centers of excellence) in Fort Myers, Florida, Irving, Texas, Barcelona, Spain, London, England, Gurgaon, India, Singapore, or Sydney, Australia. Relocation assistance is available for qualifying candidates.
Hybrid Work Model for MSE:
We have a hybrid work environment at Gartner, which means working virtually and in the office when there's a business reason to do so. Our MSE sales team has in-office experiences, which can be as often as several times each week. These experiences include 1:1s with your manager, team meetings, recognition, and upskilling sessions that are better done in person. Coming together with colleagues in our Gartner office is a great way to build relationships across the business while collaborating, learning, and growing together.
