Global Revenue and Billing Management

The Global Revenue and Billing Management team plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate accounting, invoicing, and payment management of Northern Trust's client revenue. Located in key regions around the world, this team works closely with business units and finance teams to ensure seamless revenue recognition and monthly accounting book closures.

As we undergo a multi-year transformation, we are migrating all clients to the Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) platform. This initiative will enhance client experience, improve controls, optimize workflow, and enable advanced reporting and data analytics.

Revenue Management Sr. Consultant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Management Sr. Consultant to support our new Revenue Management Practice lead in spearheading change and accelerating revenue collection. This role will work closely with global client service teams in Asset Servicing, Wealth, and NTAM to reduce aged revenue accruals and receivables.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing data analysis, creating business metrics, project management, and process optimization. They will identify opportunities for improving the revenue management process and lifecycle, and define new best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate existing business and operational flows to define As-Is process models and To-Be process models for business process re-engineering initiatives
  • Provide guidance and leadership to drive the completion of critical projects
  • Carry out activities that are large in scope and cross-functional
  • Maintain effective relationships with business partners to ensure process improvement goals are clearly communicated and met
  • Balance between high-level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities
  • Differentiate between important and urgent decisions, assess complex and contradictory information, identify the core issues quickly and act on them
  • Work with internal and external auditors to provide documentation for various audits
  • Provide oversight for the documentation of procedures and identification of potential control gaps and inefficiencies
  • Provide input and support to senior management's objectives and goals
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements

Experience
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA, and/or Auditing experience preferred, or demonstrate knowledge of the Financial Services industry, with 5-7+ years of related experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or Payroll
