Job Summary

The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting psycho-diagnostic assessments to identify mental health needs and develop treatment plans
  • Providing individual and group counseling services to inmates
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conducting research and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment plans
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution
  • A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction
  • At least one year of experience in conducting psycho-diagnostic assessments and providing counseling services to inmates or adult populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
Working Conditions

The Clinical Psychologist will work in a correctional setting and will be required to interact with inmates on a regular basis. The position requires frequent direct contact with inmates, which may expose the incumbent to daily stress and the threat of potentially dangerous situations.
