Safe Place for Youth (SPY) is a premier service provider dedicated to assisting youth facing or at risk of homelessness in the West Los Angeles area. Established in 2011, our organization delivers trauma-informed, accessible programs aimed at helping young individuals transition from homelessness to stability, enabling them to thrive. Our comprehensive range of services includes outreach, drop-in assistance, health and wellness initiatives, case management, educational and employment support, and housing solutions.

Role Overview:
The Transitional Living Program (TLP) operates under a housing-first model, offering low-barrier, high-tolerance support across multiple sites. The Site Manager is tasked with overseeing daily operations and ensuring the effectiveness of the program and its services. This role involves managing schedules, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with program standards. The Site Manager also engages with community partners to enhance resource accessibility and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with program requirements.
  • Provide trauma-informed guidance and support to staff members.
  • Tailor programs to meet the specific needs of residents.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and quality assurance standards.
  • Manage program budgets and monitor financial expenditures.
  • Oversee daily operations and program activities.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and de-escalation strategies.
  • Assist in organizing events and workshops for residents.
  • Offer supportive supervision and leadership to team members.
  • Provide after-hours support as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments and programs.
  • Attend all relevant meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the mission of the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3-4 years of experience working with high-risk transitional age youth is required.
  • Experience with social services is a plus.
  • Familiarity with best practice models such as Housing First and Trauma-Informed Care is essential.
  • Knowledge of data management systems is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance are required.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office is expected.
Work Environment:
  • Prolonged periods of desk work and computer use.
  • Adaptability to various environments, including office and outdoor settings.
  • Occasional physical lifting of up to 15-20 pounds.
