Job Overview

Full-time, Hybrid role

Volitiion IIT, a leader in providing technology-enabled resource solutions, is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee all facets of the organization's accounting and financial operations. This role is pivotal in enhancing productivity and transforming workforce efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and preparation of financial statements.
  • Management of the General Ledger financial system (Costpoint) with future migration plans to Unanet.
  • Collaboration with the Treasury department.
  • Leadership of a team comprising 8-10 employees, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Billing, General Ledger, Technical Accounting, Banking, and Treasury functions.
  • Providing timely financial status updates and progress reports to management.
  • Partnering with the finance team for the consolidation of actuals and forecasts.
  • Advising management on necessary operational adjustments.
  • Leading audit, tax, and government compliance initiatives.
  • Preparation of reports as mandated by regulatory agencies.
  • Regular review and updates of the internal control environment, ensuring oversight of General Ledger data.
  • Development and implementation of policies and procedures for master data maintenance and reporting.
  • Automation of master data maintenance requests and approval workflows.
  • Continuous improvement of General Ledger and closing processes to enhance efficiency across the finance organization.
  • Establishment and governance of policies for balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Driving results to achieve individual, team, and departmental objectives.
  • Performing additional accounting-related duties as assigned.
  • Collaboration with other departments on special projects.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a large government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with Costpoint and/or Unanet.
  • Proven leadership experience with a team of 5 or more.
  • Experience in a Private Equity setting.
  • CPA certification.
  • Strong analytical, research, and business acumen.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of leading projects independently.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
