  • Develop and implement strategies for business development and sales
  • Carry out special projects and other tasks as required
  • Identify and assess potential targets for joint ventures, alliances, or partnerships and prepare business cases and recommendations
  • Develop solutions and consult to sell, with strong commercial and business acumen
  • Have a deep understanding of business development and the interplay between contracts, operations, and commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrate a record of achievement in strategically identifying, developing, and delivering business opportunities that provide superior outcomes for stakeholders
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise product specialists/product managers
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent - MBA preferred; and 8-12 years in progressively more responsible positions either with long product steel producers or having sold equipment directly to long product steel producers
  • Broad knowledge and experience in financial and fiscal project planning gained at successive levels of responsibility
  • Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance
  • Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team-driven philosophies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interests from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills
