Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to alarms of fire or other emergencies in accordance with department procedures.
  • Participate in training sessions and attend classes in firefighting, hazardous materials, rescue, and related subjects.
  • Perform advanced firefighting work in preventing, combating, and extinguishing fires, responding to hazardous materials incidents and emergency calls which include special rescue situations.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • Must pass the entrance fire exam, which includes a written section, tests of physical fitness, a medical evaluation, and an interview with the officer group and trustees.

Benefits:

This position is not eligible for benefits.
