General Overview:

The Revenue Cycle Optimization Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing revenue cycle processes by identifying, designing, and implementing effective solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of Epic systems and revenue cycle management to develop cost-efficient strategies that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clarify and document revenue cycle requirements to ensure that solutions effectively address the identified needs.
  • Design, build, and optimize small to medium-scale revenue cycle solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to established documentation, change control processes, and data integrity standards relevant to revenue cycle initiatives.
  • Monitor the impact of implemented solutions and communicate sustained benefits to leadership.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to understand diverse needs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with information management and operational leaders to refine project plans and achieve desired outcomes, including budget considerations.
  • Exhibit superior conflict resolution skills, fostering a collaborative culture and ensuring that obstacles are addressed without compromising strategic objectives.
  • Encourage teamwork and camaraderie within the revenue cycle team and across the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in business or finance is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in revenue cycle management within an Epic environment is essential. Certification in a revenue cycle application or experience as a revenue cycle builder is required.
  • Experience in project management and system implementation, particularly in healthcare IT projects, is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in strategic thinking, analytical skills, and process/system-oriented approaches.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and articulate stakeholder needs and support decision-making processes.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain credibility with organizational leaders.
  • Ability to respectfully challenge team members to meet deadlines.
